Using a technique called "Hop Bursting", when the standard bittering hop addition is completely omitted, all the bitterness comes from late additions of high alpha hops. An experimental hop variety (HBC 366) went into the brew along with Simcoe, Cascade, and Bravo. The result is a slightly bready beer with spicy citrus, passionfruit, grass, and starfruit aromas and flavors. Brewed in conjunction with Beer Church, the hops and malt were donated with proceeds benefitting the local chapter of the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America.
