The Orval Trappist Brewery make only one beer for the general public. It has an intensely aromatic and dry character. Between the first and second fermentations there is also an additional dry-hopping process. Through this the beer acquires it's hoppy aroma and extra dry taste. NOTE: The ABV-value of this beer varies, in the United States 6.9% is used.

Brasserie d‘Orval S.A. - Orval Trappist Ale Prösterchen Orangefarben und trüb ist die Optik. Die altweiße, sehr gut ausgeprägte Blume ist gut stabil, fällt langsam in sich zusammen und hinterlässt klebende Fetzen am Glasrand. Die Nase riecht gelbes (Birne, Pfirsich, Holunder) Gelee. Am Gaumen dann leicht alkoholisch, mit Anklängen von Kräutern und einer dezenten Harzigkeit. Dabei ist der Körper erstaunlich schlank. Im Abgang wieder die Kräuternoten mit etwas herber grüner Banane und einer subtilen Schärfe!? Es hat bestimmt eine Freunde bei den Stilliebhabern. Ich hadere und bleibe daher neutral 4,5/4,5/4/3,5

Een orvalleke uit de kelder da heeft meneer den aliën graag. Jaja de jos heeft wa meegemaakt ze. Die onderzoeken zijn alleen maar te verklaren me een zalmtoastje.
