The big, bold, obnoxious big brother of both the Stinger IPA and Middle Child IIPA. Like Stinger and Middle Child, a bit of honey is added to this beer, although the massive hop additions of bright and cirtusy American hops and tropical New Zealand hops are the focus of this beer. While there is no shortage of hops added during all phases of the boil, huge quantities of hops are used to dry hop the beer… not once, but twice. While Stung is definitely bitter it is loaded with citrus, pine, earthy, and tropical hops flavors and a big malty component serves to balance out the alcohol content (and hops) of this beer and creates a surprisingly smooth beer for its 10.5%.
