Stouts are generally darker than pale ales, and can be significantly bitterer. They differ from browns and reds in the use of roasted grains, which add to the bitterness, lends flavors of toast, biscuit, or coffee and contribute to the much darker stout color. These are winter favorites but you'll find at least one year round at the brewery. Peaks n Pines Brewery uses chocolate malt, barley flakes, roasted barley and lots of US Goldings hops.
