For the first release from our new foeder we brewed a batch of our Belgian dark ale Dahlia. Our Foeder, whom we named Brigitte, is made from French oak and came from a winery in Washington State where it was used to age red wine. The red wine and oak notes compliment the rich and complex malt notes of sweet caramel and fruity esters.
