Polski Piwo is a rare occurrence at Hermitage Brewing in that it is one of the few lagers in our portfolio. Inspired by the lagers of Poland, Polski Piwo was brewed with Polish hop varietals Lublin (Lubelski) and Sybilla. Lublin is essentially a Saaz hop that is grown exclusively in Poland, while Sybilla is a varietal that is a cross between Lublin and Slovenian Styrian Golding.
This lager's aroma is a combination of herbal notes, some lemon pith character, with an earthy pine quality, and an herbaceousness. Its biscuity malt flavor is contrasted against a bracing hop bitterness with a lemony pith flavor, resiny pine quality, with an herbal and slight spice character. The finish is crisp, clean and dry .
