Downton Brewery Chimera IPA is a truly classic IPA bursting with resinous hoppy flavours that packs quite a punch - just as a traditional IPA should. Refreshing for the summer, yet strong enough to be warming in the winter; a traditional India Pale Ale, brewed with a hugely increased hop rate for a strong, floral aroma, and a powerful, bitter taste.

This is no more than bog standard. All of my Downton tipples have been very flat and lacking in a big flavour profile. This again came up short…….

A very good IPA , light amber in colour, small head when poured. Slightly hazy in the glass but that could be due that it has just come out of the refrigerator. Good taste with floral flavours and a bitter aftertaste which I like.

I generally go by this rule IPAs are either good or bad with no inbetweeners this is one of the good a golden cloudy IPA with minimal head and tropical aromas and more of an orange taste along with the hops and a nice bitter finish and a decent strength to go with it
