Spanish for "North Wind," Cierzo was inspired by an especially difficult ride through the Navarra region, when we lost our minds cycling against 20 mph headwinds in the heat, and decided to turn our saddlebags into rolling coolers. While the cheap Spanish lager got us through some long hot days, we vowed to create something tastier for our fellow travelers.
Cierzo maintains the hop flavor and aromatic complexity of an India Pale Ale, but it does not dominate the palette like most IPAs. Chinook, Citra, and Mosaic hops give this lager citrus and tropical fruit notes that, together with the crisp, dry finish, will quench any thirst after even the hottest day on the road.
