The first beer from this brewery was a somewhat disappointment. Now let's see this award-winning brew. Canned on 3.3.2021 Temperature: +11 C Deep golden colored. Good clarity. Large, fluffy head with excellent retention. Large lace: 4,25/5 The nose has that classical West Coast aroma of grapefruity citrus with resiny and piney notes. Some flowery notes also. Real old school. Kind of reminds me about Pliny the Elder: 4,25/5 Mouthfeel is medium with high bitterness and quite a high carbonation as well. Alcohol is well hidden, one feature that IMO should be here to separate strong IPAs from American Barleywines. So good job with that! The carbonation is a tad too strong for my liking though: 4,25/5 The taste shows similar things to what was in the scent. But the flavor has a bit stronger, crispy malty flavors. A good foundation for the hops I feel. The aftertaste has a moderate oily slide and quite a low bitterness: 12/15 A good example of a more classical Imperial IPA. The carbonation could be just a bit lower but what I miss, is that lovely lingering bitterness found in the best IIPAs. Instead in this beer, the aftertaste is quite oily: 16,25/20 =41/50

HEAD: Fast and tiny. GREY’S VIEW Mosaic, Citra & El Dorado hopped West Coast DIPA. Talk about first go! Yeehaaw! Mouthfeel is so surprizingly easy and ”light”! It’s not light but it tries to show itself as one. Carbonation is bready and calm, restfull and steady. Taste profile is well formed with familiar to style: pine resin, some dank bitter vibes, ripe citruses and bread crumbs. OTHER NOTES: Highly drinkable unit with clean and clear taste profile. Yammy! Tölkitetty ilmeisesti 5.10.18. Tuoksussa tuhdisti nektarimaista/trooppista hedelmää: persikkaa, aprikoosia, ananasta, mandariiniä, greippiä. Maussa runsaasti greippiä, persikkaa, ananasta, taustalla havumetsää. Yllättävän helposti juotava vaikka 8,5%. Hyvä DIPA.
