Witty Monk is our unique take on Belgian wheat ale. The Belgians are known for their individualistic approach to creating beers. In that tradition, we have created this wheat beer using North American malts and hops, a Belgian Trappist yeast strain, and a little-known spice from West Africa called Grains of Paradise. The resulting brew is left unfiltered, and, therefore retains a cloudy appearance and a bit more of the spicy, dough-like yeast character. It may be different, but this beer is no joke! 5.2% alcohol by volume.
