The Empire Hops Back is an India Pale Lager that has mellow hop aromas of hay and lemon spice, mixed with doughy yeast esters. These aromas create the signature nose of our latest heavily hopped pale yellow lager.  The exclusive use of northern Michigan's very own Empire hop variety, creates a tasting profile full of  grassy, herbal, and light citrus characteristics. And, it is backed by a touch of sweet bread and cracker malt flavors.  A bitterness reminiscent to arugula resonates in the finish, along with a crispness that eventually turns dry.
