Kriek is Flemish-style red ale re-fermented for eleven months in whiskey barrels with local tart heirloom cherries ("kriek" is Flemish for cherry), then bottle-conditioned with wild yeast. Redolent of cherry cola, this beer is tart like a grapefruit and dry like a fine champagne.
