Despite the high IBUs, this beer exhibits a careful balance between the bitterness of the hops and the intensity of the specialty malts in this beer. Notes of chocolate, coffee hit the palate from the malts, and the hops deliver a delightful herbaceous and piney profile for a very satisfying black IPA.
