Rich, brown-amber in color and very hazy, due to yeast in suspension, our Weizenbock is a tradiitonal German-inspired strong wheat ale (not to be confused with other bock beers, which are lagers; in this case bock simply refers to the beer's strength). The aroma is melanoidin-like, similar to the crust of freshly-baked bread, with slight notes of vanilla and clove-like esters contributed by the yeast. A medium mouthfeel, thanks to its unfiltered nature, delivers flavors of wheat bread with a hint of caramel, vanilla, and banana-clove. Warming, but deceptively drinkable despite its high ABV.
