A ruby ale with malty milk chocolate at first in the nose, then plenty of orange fruit. It is bitter, malty and roasted to taste, with a perfumed bitter orange notes always present. Bitter, roasted, perfumed finish.

Really lovely beer, this. Though mine was labelled as Witches Brew (possible name change?). Doesn't ask quite like a 5%er. Definitely easy to drink.

Gifted from my good friend Jamie K and what I believe is my first ever beer from the Isle of Wight.
Smooth and velvety with a silky mouthfeel. I’m drawn to the ingredients list looking for lactose but it isn’t there. Intriguing, the brewer’s done a good job here! Mellow roast malt, caramel and a hint of coffee. Nothing dominates, it’s a mellow mingling of flavours. Slight roast astringency and a fruitiness that I can only imagine comes from the interesting use of cascade hops.
Very pleasant indeed!

Bottle, Newport, IOW. Nice head with good duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are caramel, toasted malt, fruits, hops and has a nice caramel finish 😊
