Have you ever wondered what it would taste like to swig some booze after eating some pesto pasta? Well now you can with this wonderfully average beer! Badger are pretty hit and miss with their brews. How can a brewery create fantastic beers like Blandford flyer and golden glory then create the bland tasteless mess that is hopping hare and this basil infused monstrosity. The basil flavour is alright but the actual beer itself tastes as though the just siphoned off the rainwater from the rusty crevices of an old Vauxhall Nova on bricks in a garage in Trafford.

Stopped for food in this Hall & Woodhouse (Badger Ales) pub. I've opted for a bottle of this beer instead of the real ales on draught, since I've had them lots before and this is my second time tasting this beer. It is a saison that has been infused with basil. It pours a clear gold colour with a head from the fizz that disappears quickly. Aroma is of basil and saison yeast. Flavour is of saison yeast and long lingering basil. This is one of the best herbal saison beers out there.

Smells and tastes of basil. Very smooth. A great taste but would be better as a half. Not really to be drank alone as I am, could imagine it would go brilliant with a Thai curry.

It smells of basil, it tastes of basil it shouldn't work. It's missing Mozzarella. It's peculiar and it will go fantastically well with pizza or any Italian food. Strange beer but a good beer. I can't get my head around it!

Wow! This is a really tasty beer. Aroma is wild yeast and basil. Flavour is saison beer with a lingering basil flavour. This should be on Badger's permanent range, not a limited edition. It really works.
