This beer is opaque, very dark brown, almost black. The head exceeds one finger, maybe one and a half fingers. The color is light fawn and texture quite standard, small-bubbled.
Nose, again, is mild. It can't be the serving temperature because this beauty has been waiting on the table for quite some time. A note of dark chocolate is there but not particularly hefty, rather thin I must say.
The taste, again, overbeats the fragrance. A medium-hefty roasted twist merged with a tad dark chocolate, pretty dominant bitter licorice, followed by a noticeable twist of espresso constitute the key pillars of the gustatory palace.
Medium-full body. Now we are talking! The finish offers long-enduring sensations of licorice, dark chocolate, very bitter black coffee and roasty elements.
Mouthfeel is medium-full, oily, a bit crisp, somewhat dry and lip-glueing.
