Another Duo beer with my son-in-law in Texas. This is one of my favorite breweries, Sweetwater, out of Athens Georgia. Has a medium size, very tan head. Very deep clear red color, have to hold it up to the light to see that. Aroma is roasty and dark raisins. Texture is smooth and clean. Flavor is an earthly roasted dark malt, hints of chocolate and a small amount of raisin. Finish again is the dark roasted malt, a little bit of bitterness and over quickly. This is a very good traditional type brown ale, not a lot of frills. Could actually think of this as a German brew. Very good.
