What's that you say? Northern Monk have collaborated with Deya and Verdant to make a juicy IPA for the consistently outstanding Patrons series? Bound to be rubbish! or... it could be an excellent IPA full to the brim of tropical fruit goodness delivered on top of a smooth hoppy wave... you decide!

I've been waiting to try this for ages and I must say it's a bit of a let down. Considering the breweries involved I was expecting an exceptional beer. Not to say that this isn't good, just not as good as some of the stuff they have produced before. Its quite light in the mouth and fairly citrussy on the nose and to taste. Opportunity wasted I feel

Another winner from Northern Monk. This is s collaboration with Deya and Verdant Brewing. It's fresh, fruity, tart and full in the mouth. Amarillo, Simcoe and Columbus all combining to punch your tastebuds like the boxers on the label - the work of a local designer. If I wasn't so tired I'd bang on for longer. Last of the weekend's winners. Here's to next week. Cheers all.

I was expecting more from this collaboration. It pours well but I was expecting it give me a big punch of flavour..... but it didn't deliver. It's still a great beer and I'd reach for it again but I wanted more considering the breweries involved
