Admiral Benbow
Chapel St Leonard's Promenade
Despite being called "red" in the evening dusky light it's more a rich golden brown. Adorned by a one finger fine light beige head that had excellent lacing and a lingering presence.
Nose is a restrained fruity citrus and caramel malts with hints of bread
Mouthfeel is a medium lush and creamy, smooth and slick with a soft carbonation.
Initially a light short lived malt sweetness in the middle of the tongue that is quickly surrounded by on the sharper citrus bitterness on the sides and back of the tongue that intensifies before the long legged smooth pithy finish on the back of your tongue complimented by a salty sensation.
This is a workout for the taste buds.
