My drinking horn was empty and I was as thirsty as the Norse gods so to visit the GIANT Hymil I went. Sadly I found that the mighty Thor had taken his kettle so I was left to my own devices. I entered the walk in cooler of the local beer store and quietly passed the frosty giants section to the craft and quality part. Like a hit in the face from Mjolnir, I was stunned to see Odin staring back at me from the shelf. A sign from the gods. I filled my horn with a beer as red as Thor' s beard and took a big inhale. Dried fruit, dark caramel, raisin, toffee, and an herbal note filled my nose and swelled my heart with promise of a true rich full treasure. But as tricky as Lokki it quickly changed faces and delivered something a little less than suggested. A little thinner than medium bodied, decently malty with caramel, mild hints of dried fruit and earthy herbal something. It was not unpleasant but not godly. It would not take the threat of Ragnarok to convince me to drink more.
