Another gem no doubt. A luscious pour left a weighty body, straw yellow with a golden hue, thick with haze and even carrying some sediment.
Lots going on here with scents of mango, peach and melon in the first hit, all stewing together before the second hit of citrus and lychee come washing in.
The beer is heavy bodied but thanks to the foaminess it leans somewhat into medium bodied territory. The foam is balanced by a light carbonation but the 7.4% body is the center pole here, recognisable as it's own firm note, while simultaneously bringing everything else together.
The taste extravagant like the scent. It starts with melon and mango in equal measure while one by one, other notes squeeze their way in, pineapple, pine resin, peach and finally the lychee. The warmth and depth presented by the 7.4% appeared to be standing in for the lack of malt notes before a light biscuit note could be found at the end, drifting in the aftertaste.
Yes, another gem indeed.
