Nice head, dark caramel colour. Very low carbonatation. Very nice smell. We have cherry notes and pastry black forest notes. The smell is very well done! 1 The attack has some cherry, and a bit of chocolate. .9 Then the chocolate develops a bit more while we still have cherry notes. This gives a nice black forest dimension. .9 The aftertaste is a bit bitter and salty too. We still have cherry and chocolate notes though. It's not a super rich aftertaste but it's pretty good. .9 What I really like about this beer is the fact that it's not too sweet (it's actually not sweet at all!). That's great and something unusual for most pastries. This is also coherent with the blackforest cake that's usually not very sweet and quite bitter (very dark chocolate is used for this cake). So overall, that's a very good beer and also a very coherent one! .9
