Flight 2/4. This is another strange piece: a smoked pepper sour ale. Almost translucent, copper beer. A modest lacing only. A smoked hint in the scent that naturally intensifies when the beer gets warmer. Nevertheless, I couldn't associate it with sweet pepper, had I not known, but rather grapefruit, orange and turnip. Interesting! Sweet pepper remains camouflaged to my tastebuds. Sour, for sure. And smoked. I would guess orange peel, lemon zest, maybe passionfruit, lactic acid... Very difficult. I have to include bell pepper here but, honestly speaking, I couldn't identify it like this. Wheat in the basement. This one feels light, moderately smoked, relatively tart, puckering and acidic. And zesty, perhaps also somewhat pithy.
