I grabbed a crowler when we were at Troeg’s yesterday to bring home. This has a dark roasted malt, caramel/toffee, light cocoa, hint of licorice and barely a hint of a coffee taste. At first I kept getting a hint of cherry/black cherry that was not consistent but kept showing up here and there (not a lot). It has a sweetness to it but finishes slightly bitter. It is on the thin side and quite dry. Overall it’s a very well done stout that is not going to blow you away but will keep you coming back for more.
