Translucent, deep gold. That's the color of tonight's Westie. Just the way it's meant to be. A soapy, off-white head reaches two fingers and melts soon to a creamy lacing. Apricot, nectarine and orange, at least, dance in the air. Further down the road, a whisper of blackcurrant signals of its presence. Biscuit can be observed in the baseline. The taste profile tweaks marginally more bitter. Nevertheless, the same apricot as before but escorted by orange pith, resin, grapefruit peel, biscuit and graham crackers. A nice cocktail of traditional Westie profile and modern fruitier components. The body clocks light. The end lifts resin higher at the podium but keeps apricot, orange pith, biscuit and cracker in the package, too. The mouthfeel is light, zesty, pithy, slightly resinous, a bit dry and modestly lip-glueing. A solid piece.

Olut on väriltään kullankeltainen ja vähä vaahtoine olut. Tuoksu maltainen, yrttinen. Maku on yrttinen sekä sitruksinen. Onneksi karamellisuus puuttuu, joten kelpo West Coast IPA omaan makuun! Maun kesto on kyllä todella lyhyt, joten makua saisi olla enempi!

Tämä on sellainen perus suoritus. Minun mielestä tämä voidaan tallettaa vaikka Pariisin sinne missä pidetään jemmassa standardeja. Muut voivat sitten ottaa mallia Salaman keitoksista. Tämäkin olut on haettu tietysti panimon puodista.
