5.0% Saison / Farmhouse Ale

A unique, light taste offering, at the same time, subtle touches of sweets and fruit. A refreshing beer that calls out for another one. Created in Silly in 1850 and can be considered as the original Saison. This beer has been created in the farmhouse brewery during the winter and served to the seasonal workers doing the harvest in the summer. Its dark colour is due to the fact that initially in 1850, the barley was malted in the farm and it was always producing dark malt grains. Its taste is remarkable, light and favourably combined to offer a tone that is both modestly sweetened and fruity, leaving the mouth with a refreshing feel as is constantly asked of it.

clear, brown appearance and sweet. in taste, it's caramel/honey sweet and spicy. very light and fluid. it's quite alright :)

Visuellement, on est sur une bière trouble avec un corps brun et des reflets oranges. Une mousse blanche très fine. Au nez, on a des saveurs de caramels avec du grillé, un petit côté pain d’épice. Pour la texture, on a une bière plutôt grasse et épaisse, le final est plus fluide et on a très peu de gazeux. Pour le goût, c’est très subtile, toujours ce côté sucré/caramel avec un côté de pain aux céréales grillées qui se développe dans la longueur. Une bière très douce, peu marquée en goût. Merci à mes parents qui l’ont ramené de leur vacance ! Je la trouve un peu trop sucrée à mon goût, ce qui la rend écoeurante dans la durée, mais sinon elle passe bien pour le reste.
