Catching up with Wicklow Wolf this week, this time we have a nice colab with Cloudwater, wrapped in a very nice looking can.
Pour was fairly routine and regimented, giving a straw yellow body with a heavy haze and firm foam head that lasted throughout.
Scents are a mash of citrus and stonefruit at first, before the distinct banana of the Weiss profile appears. There is also a bubblegum note that funnily enough, blends well with the other notes, even though it shouldn't. I have to admit that I read of this note on the label and have to wonder if I would have been able to identify it if I didn't have prior knowledge.
The mouthfeel is medium to heavy, with lots of foam at first before a decent juiciness emerges and dominates. The foam attempts a reprisal and holds well to form a a harmonious balance.
Taste is much like the scent but with a little more clarity, the stonefruit and citrus shows orange spiked with lime, while peach flows in to fluff out any harsh notes.
A faint hint of pine which turns to peppery as the wheat and banana roll in to shake things up before settling down a d allowing the pine to show itself one last time before the end.
Very happy with this one.
