On appearance, looks like a regular stout but the first taste is an explosion of hops. It’s viciously delicious with a supreme bitter edge and then the malt notes come through. It reminds me a little of a German Schwarzbier especially with the strong hops flavour. I can imagine this to be the perfect ale to drink by a country pub fireside sometime in the winter.

Well it's a black beer from Oakham, it's still an IPA, it's just loaded with dark malt and caramel. It's definitely different. Well done Oakham.
