Viime viikonlopulta rästi. Yllättävän kelpo red ale. Pehmeä, makean karamellimaltainen, kevyen katkera ja tamminen, viskiä taustalla.

Oak whiskey red ale. Red ales are not necessarily my top favorite beerstyles but I have promised myself that I will learn to like them more. Deep copper is the color. It's fully transparent as such. Posh carbonation. The emerging head is soapy, yellowish-white like old paper and portrays the height of three fingers. The foamy stack declines sluggishly but eventually reaches the surface when a messy ring still wafts on the top. The scent is malty and moderately oaky. A smaller injection of caramel can also be detected, escorted by faint toffee and brown sugar. Whiskey is not a separate component of the fragrance, it's most likely reflected in all of the above nuances. The taste is pleasant: caramel, sweet-leaning malt, brown sugar, toffee, whiskey, faint nut and barrel notes. The hoppy slam that is typical at many red ales is almost absent. The body is light although it could be bigger at 6.5 %. The end lives fast and dies young. The components remain unchanged. The mouthfeel is light, effervescent, balanced, neatly barrel aged and fairly easy. Why wouldn't I like this? I do! This is enjoyable.

Whiskey-tynnyrissä kypsennettyä red alea. Maussa makeaa mallasta, kohtuullista katkeroisuutta sekä viskiä ja tammea. Oikein miellyttävän makuinen ja mukavasti hieman erilainen olut.
