This “Hop Harvest” is dressed in hazy, lemon yellow. Reasonable carbonation. A tiny-bubbled fluffy head climbs three fingers high and dissipates gradually to a moldy lacing and billowy lace ring. Horizontal traces remain on the rim of the glass.
The scent is citrusy, no question about it. I can spot orange pith, lemon zest, grapefruit pulp and faint sweeter pomelo. Suggestions of mango and overripe pineapple merge into the cotton soft cream.
The gustatory cocktail involves loads of citruses: lemon zest, grapefruit pulp and pith, a bit of grated orange peel. Faint raw pineapple maybe, as well? A soft maltbase gives wheat and oat flakes, first and foremost. I like the biscuity foundation on which the fruity package rests.
The body is light-medium to medium. Acceptable for the ABV. Ends with citrusy flavors, no real change from the earlier experience.
The mouthfeel is medium, zesty, pulpy, pithy, slightly dry and moderately drying. Not really tropical in my opinion. If you like Citra, this is where you get Citra!
