15 Hours Session IPA Sorachi Ace, Spain
4.0
The beer pours hazy, straw/pale golden with good balanced carbonation. This version contains no yeast particles. The head is three fingers, chalk-white and cumulus-like. The foam remains throughout the entire drink. Scent is exceptionally thin, merely faint notes of sweeter citrus, flowers and delicate vanilla. Contrary to my expectations, I didn't smell any dill at all. The palate is substantially soft and round for an IPA. Hoppiness is not the word that could be used to describe the taste, at least not in its edgy form. It's rather soft fruity with orange, orange peel, even a bit of mandarine, floral nuances and maybe a smidgen of vanilla. But again, dill remains absent. Interesting indeed. Light to light-medium body. Towards the finish, the palate glides to slightly more bitter citrusy but is still fairly soft orange peel. Lingers on tongue for relatively long. Mouthfeel is light but not watery, mildly tart, tropical, soft and faintly herbal. If you really don't like IPAs, don't drink this either. However, if you are not into aggressive sharp IPAs but want to try a softer version, this might be your bet.
