Jeanny's entry for the SOTS beer award. Always ready for a good stout. Full head, it doesn't last. Strong aroma that gives raisin, stone fruits and a sugary sweetness. Heavy texture, soft and creamy. Raisin is the first flavor followed by traces of chocolate and a whiskey alcohol warming my throat. A dark molasses coats everything and continues long into the finish. Now, long after a normal finish, a dark bittersweet chocolate still resides and a halo of the barrel appears. This is a good beer and I regret that I missed the first 8 in the series.
