As a huge fan of limoncello, and having missed Tiny Rebels version, I couldn't pass this up. The pour was surprisingly controlled for a beer that had so much carbonation and foam. It settled quickly to a yellow body with moderate haze and deeper yellow hue in the centre. The head reduced to only trace amounts, which in turn rapidly declined into nothing. The scent is expected lemon, not particularly sour and with extra levels to the citrus There is the bitterness of lemon, lemon peel specifically but also sweet lime for balance and a hint of juicy orange for depth. Mouthfeel is soft, juicy and medium bodied. Slight tingling on the tongue demonstrates that carbonation was once or is currently trying to be a part of this. Taste is a mixed bag, first notes of lemon with other beer profiles like mild hops and malts, starts to show a similar identity to a radler. However, after the initial stage of each sip, the juiciness along with the lime and orange set this distinctly apart from radler territory, though I could still see German children being weened on it. The centerpole lemon profile continues unaffected, with moderate zest, balancing very well with perfectly delivered, authentic sweetness but at the end of the day, this isn't at all sour and carries a not insignificant amount of non lemon flavours. It's fine I suppose but I just don't feel it delivers on either the sour or limoncello front.
