Virtually all New England IPA’s (NEIPA’s) are cloudy, or hazy, but not all cloudy/hazy IPA’s are NEIPA’s. This is a style of IPA characterised by big juicy hoppiness (without bitterness), refreshing fruity flavours (without any actual fruit), and a smooth, creamy feel on the palette. This beer has a lower bitterness level than traditional IPAs, allowing the tropical fruity flavours of Passion Fruit, Pineapple and more, to stand out. It has a strong, juicy aroma and is cloudy and yellow in appearance, created by late hop additions, dry-hopping, and using high-protein grains and specific yeast strains for flavour enhancement.
