Having a Duo with Ryan and my daughter. Another Boulevard Stout that has espresso in it. This should be good. Poured with a modestly high head, totally tan. Aroma of coffee and black pepper. Texture is very soft and gentle. I immediately get a strange sweetness. As if it's a molasses liqueur. Quickly followed by a deep espresso accompanied by some black pepper. None of the 12% alcohol is detectable which makes this very dangerous. Going into the finish a dark chocolate sneaks into the background. Later it turns just a bit dry. As usual, this boulevard Stout is excellent. They really know how to make their dark beers. If anyone gets to try one of these Boulevard stouts, I recommend you go for it.
