Thís required a new profile because it has 2% less abv than the original. Same eye catching bottle and the same smooth pour, similar golden yellow body with lightly amber hue and a mild haze too. The head was distinctly more foamy than bubbly but reduced to trace amounts quit quickly. The scent at first is a collision of pine resin and deep caramel malt, before becoming awash with the funk of fermented mango. The feeling in the mouth is medium leaning into heavy bodied, the light carbonation quickly sifted into foaminess and then into a dull, heavy, slightly syrupy body. Taste starts like the scent, pine resin and caramel malt before mango seeps in. Effectively, and unsurprisingly, it's just a stronger version of the Full Irish, but not a patch on the original. Still worth a punt though.
