Très bonne IPA. Très accessible.

Perinteisemmän mallin IPA kaatuu lasiin kuparinruskeana muodostaen parin sormen paksuisen vaahdon, joka häviää vähitellen lähes kokonaan. Suutuntuma on raikas, samalla hieman kuivattava, keskitäyteläinen ja hyvin pienikuplainen. Makupaletissa mennään vahvasti sitrushedelmät edellä. Greippiä, appelsiininkuorta, mallasta, neulasta ja hituset mustikkaa, keksiä ja karamallisuutta. Katkerot ovat hyvin lämpeät, joten ilokseenhan tätä hörppii.

Une bière comme j'aime

Okay, looks like a Westie. Relatively lucid, amber. A creamy head first exceeds two fingers and descends soon to a messy ring and a thinner haze on the surface. Some traces remain on the rim of the glass. Grass, malt and biscuit are the first inputs of the olfactory sector. Orange peel and a bit of grapefruit can be added to the list. Nothing innovative. The taste profile tweaks more citrusy, offering especially grapefruit peel and pith, as well as malt, cereal, biscuit, resin, grass, even a whisper of caramel. Rather classical. Medium body. Justifies the ABV. The aftertaste doesn't change much from upfront but a bit anyway: the malty and biscuity flavors diminish while the hoppy touch continues. The mouthfeel is medium, somewhat crisp, lip-glueing, medium-dry and drying. It's also pithy, resinous and ripe. Follows nicely the ungimmicky classical path.

Visuellement, on trouve une bière à la teinte blonde avec quelques reflets ambrés, un col de mousse blanc assez fin et un corps trouble. Au nez, des notes de céréales et de copeaux de bois se dégagent, un peu d’herbes se distingue également dans la longueur. Pour la texture, un corps épais et légèrement gras nous chatouille la langue, tandis que la carbonation modérée perd vite en intensité. Au goût, une certaine amertume vient à notre rencontre avant de laissé place à un mélange céréalier, la longueur offre des notes herbeuses assez distinctives et le final nous offre le retour d’une amertume plus caractériel. Une bière avec un caractère qui laisse languir. L’attaque est peu marqué, mais l’équilibre se tient sur une belle longueur. Une IPA avec beaucoup de classe, qui reste classique. Elle fait son job, on apprécie !

an almost clear, golden appearance with an herbal aroma. in taste, lightly bitter and herbal. nothing too strong. really good!

Nez sur le pin et les céréales. En bouche notes de pin avec une amertume franche. On a aussi une touche mielleuse. Une west coast IPA dans les règles de l'art !
