Aroma: Some tropical fruits & citrus. Grassy/herbal. Taste: Soft, juicy & slightly dank. Mango, lime, mandarine, pine, herbs. Slightly grapefruity. Everything is embraced by a silky sweetness from the honey. Lovely!

That Cascade is perhaps a bit of a challenging hop if you want to make a proper tropical juice IPA. Here, we're dealing with the NZ version of that hop. I wonder how it differs, for example, from the US or UK versions? I think I'm getting that US Cascade's grapefruit and slight floral notes from this. Then, Motueka's lime-like and mango flavors bring entirely different tastes into the mix. Maybe the flavors are a bit too different together. Good flavors on their own, but together not working so well. Still, quite passable, and especially in terms of mouthfeel, a really successful juicy IPA. Dry, juicy, fresh, and the drinkability is really good. Aftertaste is dry and grapefruity. _______________________ Tuo Cascade on kyllä ehkä hieman haastava humala, jos haluaa tehdä kunnon trooppista mehu-ipaa. Tässähän on nyt kyseisen humalan NZ - versiota. Mitenhän eroaa esim. US tai UK versioista? Kyllähän minä tästä varmaan saan tuota jenkki Cascaden verigreippiä ja pientä kukkaisuutta. Sitten tuo Motuekan limemäisyys ja mango tuovat tähän täysin eri makuja. Ehkä vähän liian erilaiset maut tässä yhdessä. Sinällään hyviä makuja, mutta yhdessä vähän sekametelisoppa. Kuitenkin ihan mukiinmenevä ja varsinkin suutuntumaltaan oikein onnistunut mehustelu ipa. Kuiva, mehuinen, raikas ja juotavuus on tosi hyvä. Jälkimaku greippisen kuiva.
