Flight 4/4 steps out of the beaten track: murky, deep dark brown beer with a tawny silky head that exceeds one finger. Roasted malt, licorice, perhaps a hint of raw cacao powder in the air. Well well... The roasted, or even a bit burned malt, continues on the tongue. Raw chocolate, cacao powder, distant licorice, faint caramel accompany the main crew. A light-medium to medium body. Ends with roasted flavors. Feels light-medium, roasty, distantly burned, slightly husky but still relatively smooth. I wished for more... (No need to retaste wife's beer).
