It's not often that I have a stout with a meal but I really wanted something heavy and creamy tonight and I knew this would deliver. Already had it a couple of times, once at the brewery, and it's mild won't dominate my quesadilla. Soft and creamy texture, plenty of milk stout flavor. It still has that liqueur quality to go along with a Swiss type dark chocolate. I really think I may have underrated this in the past so I'm going to nudge it up a little.

Finally made it to Ferus Artisan Ales in Trussville Alabama. It's my birthday so we went to Alabama hockey, that's not a typo, Alabama hockey and then the brewery. A very mild milk stout. Creamy and has a bit of a liqueur characteristic during the finish. Nothing special but a treat out here on their beautiful outdoor courtyard.

At Blackstone with family after my granddaughter had a tough win at soccer. We're all here for pizza and beer. Had no idea there was a brewery in Trussville Alabama. I will be visiting them soon. Ordered this Imperial milk chocolate stout hoping that this new brewery has succeeded. The double chocolate comes in strong and sweet. More of a dark chocolate than a milk chocolate and has a slight bitter bite at the end. Pretty good for a new brewery.
