A non-alcoholic mocktail, spritz flavored. Looks transparent bright scarlet. Rushed carbonation, a hasty bubbly head that dies soon. The nose receives orange zest, Campari, lemon pith and a herbal twist that takes a bit of time to assess but eventually seems to be gentian root, I guess. The gentian root tends to grow disproportionately on the tongue. Bitter orange peel, orange zest and lemon pith conclude this chapter. Campari — not my favorite — is obvious. The mouthfeel is light, zesty, pithy, slightly tangy and herbal. And modestly astringent. Okay, when you ask for spritz, you'll get spritz. I'll take this as it's meant to be.
