Got an impulse idea to take a bus uptown. Here I am. Two dark beers is my portion this time.
Dark #1 is murky, deep dark brown. The emerging latte-hued head wants to flex as it unbuttons its jacket two fingers high. Calms down but maintains a protective cap for a long time.
Massive peanut butter emanates to my nostrils. Lovely. And sweet. And dominant. I almost fail to capture the faint milk chocolate in its shade. Lactose isn't particularly subdued here.
Peanut butter is copious also on the tongue but not as overwhelming as in the scent. It also gives a faintly bitter hint of peanut peel. Milk chocolate, cacao nibs, lactose, cream, coffee flavored ice cream and a pour of latte join the list of elements.
The body is probably light-medium albeit the impression may be bigger owing to the sweetness. The finish narrows substantially down, leaving only peanut peel, a much smaller fraction of peanut butter and a cold-brew coffeeish vibe on the tastebuds.
The mouthfeel is, first and foremost, sappy. It's creamy and absolutely desserty but even too sweet to me (my level of tolerance when it comes to sweetness is pretty high...). This beer disturbs even me. The mouthfeel is, moreover, lip-glueing, chewy, mouthcoating, adjuncted but also marginally drying.
