Fruity tart opening to this beer, thought we were heading for something lambic-like, however it soon mellowed in to a really enjoyable beer.
Aromas of musty red wine.
Elderberry tartness really mellows out as the beer goes down. Vinous drying effect lingers in the mouth.
Certainly not as complex as a Flanders Red (which it is brewed in homage to) but fruitier and more refreshing.
I like how this is a stock ale mimicking a Flanders Red when they were originally brewed in homage to British stock ales…
