A quick sip of a clear rhubarb-juice-colored cider. The fizzy carbonation unleashes a marginal head that dies almost immediately away. Sweet apple juice emanates to my nostrils. Nothing that I wouldn't have anticipated. Semisweet apple mash with an artificial sweetening injection approaches my tastebuds but fails to give them a surprise of any kind. The mouthfeel is juicy, slightly dry, acidic, effervescent and marginally synthetic.
