All the families together for a late Christmas, daughter and son-in-law arrived from Houston. You know he brought me a lot of beer and we're going to start with this one from Prairie. Poured from the bottle like syrup. Really heavy. Strong aroma of chocolate Bourbon and raspberry. First taste is deep dark chocolate with strong overtones of the barrel aged bourbon. Fruity raspberry quickly mixed in and later the coconut surfaces. After a few sips the coconut seems to shift toward the beginning. Enjoyed the raspberry and chocolate but I felt like the coconut was not blending and obtrusive to the flavor. Still this is a very good beer.
