Whilst we don’t venture over to the dark side very often, we like to think we’re distinctly old school in our approach to the stout game. Eschewing the crazy adjuncts, we’ve approached our latest trip to stout town with a very much back to basics attitude. Think About It has us honouring those robust American dark beers of yesteryear that forged our formative drinking years.

Humalat: Amarillo

Maltaat: Brown, Chocolate, Crystal Dark, Pale, Roasted barley

I thought this had been dry-hopped but it’s only Amarillo in the whirlpool. Still, adds a nice stone fruit balance and slight bitterness to an indulgent chocolate and coffee stout. Nice, had a few of ‘em!
