Mead time! Or to be more precise, Braggot time! 🐝
This Braggot shows a fairly limpid, deep amber face. The subdued carbonation builds a minuscule-bubbled head that climbs half a finger high. A longer decoration includes a neat thin lace ring.
The scent is interesting: not full-scale sticky honey but rather thin actually and dissolved in tea. The impression can well be due to the malt that the Braggot contains. Moreover, the fragrance gives cereal and multigrain bread.
The taste is odd. That means style compatible. Yes. Malt and a good load of honey albeit not sweet – actually not sweet at all – creates the flavored-tea-mimicking palate. I don't find cereal here but something like grainier muesli. Alcohol is not really present but looms somehow in the background. Very unique. Not necessarily exceptionally appealing though.
The body is light. Ends like starts. The honey boat soon will be making another run; the honey boat promises something for everyone; set a course for the aftertaste,
The mouthfeel is light, spiced, strange and moderately alcoholic. Challenging to review.
