A nice Duo Clown Shoes Cold IPA. My favorite IPA Brewery. Starts with a 4-in head in this tall Christmas glass. A little hazy, no particulates visible. Strong grapefruit and malt aroma. Flavor is definitely grapefruit but more of the peel with a mysterious additional citrus hiding in the background. Have repeatedly tried to identify it but it remains a mystery. Later a distinct lemon zest adds to the experience. Finish brings these flavors together with the addition of some black pepper and a sprinkle of sea salt. For an IPA, the overall bitterness level is rather low, which is why I love Clown Shoes. This is not one of my favorite Clown Shoes IPAs but it's still pretty good.
