d12 on meidän lippulaiva d10:n uljas isoveli.
Yhteys ei ole pelkästään nimessä, vaan d12:ssa on käytetty täsmälleen samoja maltaita ja humalia, mutta eri suhteessa, jotta niistä on kypsynyt klassinen West Coast IPA eli trooppisten hedelmien lisäksi humaloinnista löytyy runsaasti pihkaisuutta.
Olut on kirkas, kuiva ja siinä on katkeruutta, vaikka mallaspohja on roteva.

This beer has been named after dodecagon. Wikipedia reveals that "a regular dodecagon is a figure with sides of the same length and internal angles of the same size. It has twelve lines of reflective symmetry and rotational symmetry of order 12." And why? A good question. My guess is that it has something to do with a fantasy role game.
The beer shows a clear amber complexion. This is supposed to be a WCIPA, and it looks like a WCIPA. Carbonation is introvert but not timid. A minuscule-bubbled off-white head grows one finger tall and descends to a wavy lace ring and gossamer haze.
The scent is relatively subdued. I spot malt, faint biscuit and dried apricot. I can't get anything else, at least not yet.
Resin pushes forward pretty stubbornly on the tongue. Pine, strong malt, overripe grapefruit and a good bit of grapefruit peel join the show. Dried apricot is marginal in the shadows.
The body is light to light-medium. The end is malty, grapefruity, piney and resinous, pretty much like before. Gives a flavorful impression. So the aftertaste gets off stage, right? Drops the mic, walks up to those hot chicks, and it's like: "Sup, ladies My name's Slim Shady, I'm the lead singer of D12, baby."
The mouthfeel is light-medium, crisp, resinous, piney, dry and drying. Classical. Solid tasty piece!
